The Glenview Ice Center will be closed April 28-September 1 for mechanical renovations including:
- Replacement of 34 year old ice compressors and mechanicals associated with ice sheets (improve energy consumption)
- Replacement of both refrigerated floors underneath ice sheets in studio and main rinks (improve efficiency)
- Replacement of the existing emissivity ceiling (this ceiling creates a barrier to help reduce energy consumption)
- Upgrade of existing light fixtures and light levels in both rinks
- Upgrade to locker rooms with improved ventilation, lighting and paint
- Paint walls and ceiling in main rink and lobby

If you are looking for anything hockey or figure skating related, you can find it at Big Lou's pro shop. The shop offers a complete line of skates, clothing, equipment, accessories, and gifts as well as skate sharpening for the hockey player and figure skater.
During the Ice Center renovation, Big Lou's will be open on Tuesday and Thursdays from 4 to 8 pm.

Both the Main and Studio Rinks are available for rental for parties, hockey or broomball (broomball is played on the Studio Rink only). Minimum rental time is one hour. Ice may be reserved over the phone as long as a valid Visa, Mastercard or Discover Card number is provided. Otherwise, ice may reserved in person with a 50% cash, check or credit card deposit. Ice rentals may be canceled with 48 hours notice with no penalty. Cancellations with less than 48 hours notice and no shows will be charged 50% of the quoted rental fee.
(4-10 pm weekdays, open-10 pm weekends and all summer hours): $310

Both the Party/Meeting Room (holds 40, features refrigerator, sink, microwave and ADA washroom) and the Multi-Purpose Room (holds 150) are available to rent by the hour, in conjunction with an ice rental (rent the room before or after you skate) or alone. Banquet tables (6 ft.) and chairs are provided. Room rentals must be reserved in-person at the Ice Center with a 50% deposit.
